Prof. A. O Adegbulugbe
Professor Anthony Adegbulugbe has enjoyed a remarkable career in academia, research, and public service. Throughout his professional journey, he has assumed various leadership positions and provided valuable guidance in both national and international organizations. Notably, he served as a former Presidential Adviser on Energy and made significant contributions to the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which received the esteemed 2007 Nobel Prize jointly with US Vice President Al Gore.
Furthermore, Prof. Adegbulugbe’s academic achievements are equally noteworthy. During his time at Obafemi Awolowo University, he earned the distinction of being the Best Student in 1976, attaining a perfect Grade Point Average (GPA) of 5.0 on a scale of 5.0. His commitment to education continued as he assumed roles as a professor and lecturer at esteemed institutions, making substantial contributions to the advancement of energy economics as a field of study within Nigeria and beyond.
Professor Adegbulugbe’s research work focuses on the intersection of energy, economics and sustainable development. He has conducted extensive research on renewable energy technologies, energy efficiency, and energy policy frameworks. His expertise in these areas has made him sought-after consultant and advisor for government agencies, international organizations, and private sector entities.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Professor Adegbulugbe holds significant leadership positions as the Chairman/CEO of Green Energy International Limited and All Grace Energy Limited.
