The Best Undergraduate Research Opportunity Programme (BURSP)

As part of our program, we offer the Best Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (BURSP), which promotes interdisciplinary problem-solving analysis among undergraduate students. In this phase, the stars will be grouped with sub-mentors who will guide and coach them.

The stars will have the opportunity to develop innovative research proposals related to human development, science, and innovation. These proposals will address relevant societal problems and contribute to finding solutions.

Breakdown:

Provision of research Opportunities: BUSRP will provide undergraduate students with the chance to engage in research activities under the guidance of faculty members or research mentors, ‘The Mentorship Committee’, the members of the committee would be nominated by the University and vetted by the Mentor, Professor Anthony Adegbulugbe.

Mentorship: Students will be paired with experienced researchers who will provide guidance, support, and expertise throughout the research process. Mentors will offer advice on research methodologies, experimental design, data analysis, and help students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Skill Development: BUSRP aims to develop various skills in undergraduate students, including research skills, critical thinking, data analysis, and effective communication. Through participation in research projects, students will learn to formulate research questions, collect, and analyze data, and present their findings in oral and written formats.

Funding: Each participant will receive N50,000 (Fifty Thousand Naira Only) for their research submissions. Additionally, the program will select 10 outstanding research projects to receive an additional N2,000,000 (Two million Naira Only) in funding. For more info click here
